Kamala Nookala is a passionate educator, academic leader, and lifelong learner with over 15 years of rich experience in teaching, curriculum development, and educational leadership. Holding an M.Sc. and B.Ed., she has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to nurturing young minds and creating meaningful, engaging, and student-centered learning experiences. Her educational philosophy is rooted in fostering curiosity, inquiry, and holistic development, enabling learners to become confident, reflective, and responsible global citizens.
With extensive experience in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) framework, Kamala possesses strong expertise in curriculum planning, inquiry based pedagogy, assessment for learning, teacher mentoring, and collaborative teaching practices. She is deeply committed to creating dynamic learning environments that promote critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration, and conceptual understanding, ensuring that students develop both academically and personally.
Over the course of her professional journey, Kamala has played a pivotal role in teacher professional development, curriculum enhancement, assessment planning, and the effective implementation of innovative teaching-learning strategies. She has actively supported educators through mentoring, workshops, and collaborative planning processes, empowering teaching teams to deliver impactful and engaging learning experiences aligned with global educational standards.
Her passion for continuous improvement extends beyond the classroom, as she strongly believes in the power of reflective practice, lifelong learning, and professional growth. Kamala actively embraces technology integration and emerging educational tools, including
Artificial Intelligence (AI), to transform teaching methodologies and enhance student engagement in today’s rapidly evolving educational landscape.
Driven by her deep passion for early childhood education and a desire to make a meaningful contribution to the foundation years of learning, Kamala embarked on a new journey by establishing her own preschool, Giraffe Bambini, in Sainikpuri this year. Drawing upon her
vast experience and expertise, she envisions creating a nurturing, inquiry-driven, and joyful learning environment where young learners can thrive, explore, and develop a lifelong love for learning. This initiative stands as a reflection of her gratitude, dedication, and unwavering commitment to her passion for education, with the aim of shaping strong foundations during children’s most formative years.
